The Opening

Chida International hotel was commissioned on the 27th November 2003 by the Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON). Located in the serene environment of Utako, Abuja, it is just a seven minute drive by car or shuttle bus to the city and 32 kilometers to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja .

At Chida International hotel, there are 250 beautifully furnished rooms categorized into ‘Presidential' and ‘Superior' rooms. The rooms are all en-suite and air conditioned, each with a mini bar, radio, satellite TV and Internet facilities. There area also smoking and non smoking suites and rooms.

Chida hotel has won several awards in recognition of outstanding quality of service and hospitality. Some of these are:

  • Award of Excellence by AFLOG (Association of former local Government Chairmen)
  • Mandela Award

Chida International Hotel is also a member of the “Hotel Owners Forum”.

The man behind Chida International Hotel

Sir Gabriel Agada is the MD/CEO of Chida International Hotel, the Igala born, Kogi State indigene is well known for his diligence, focus, commitment, perseverance, resourcefulness and goodwill.

He grew up in Lagos and Ogun State. He is a devoted Catholic.

He once worked with the FCDA where he was building houses for other people, with his working experience he later resigned to build his own hotel (Chida International Hotel) and participated religiously in the construction.

Sir Gabriel has been interviewed by several news papers because of the successful development of his hotel.
